OFFICIAL, AND YET UNOFFICIAL...WELL, A BOOK LAUNCH EVENT ANYWAY...

Tomorrow evening, 7.30pm, Birmingham Library Theatre in Chamberlain Square, we have an event to launch 'The Anniversary Man'. It's being done as part of the Birmingham Book Festival, and though the book was published back at the start of September I still wanted to do an event in my home city as part of the Festival. I'd love to see as many people there as possible. It is ticketed and the tickets are £5.00, £3.75 on concession, but there is wine and things to eat, and there will be other booklovers so you'll be guaranteed of having the best company in the world...
See you there, I hope, and if you don't show up...well, I'll have to call Ernesto won't I?

Best wishes, as always,
Roger.

Must admit I have never heard of you until today. However, I am at Waterstones tomorrow to find your books. Read your biog and was impressed. As a prolific reader of over 1,000 novels, will be adding your books to my list. However, I originally hail from Edinburgh, where going to a book-signing is fairly commonplace. I now live in Hereford whereas authors and book-signings are like finding the Holy Grail! Glad to see that you made it as an author, despite the merde that the UK and US publishers spouted forth.

What a wonderful e-mail! I love this attitude, and I really hope you like the books. They've been a long time coming, but finally we're getting there! You'll have to e-mail me and let me know what you think, okay?
Best wishes, and thanks for your support,
Roger.

Ernesto Perez - such a well written multi-layered character. So ruthless, but I couldn't help but feel sorry for him at times. A Quiet Vendetta was a marvellous read.

Sherry...thanks for your message. When I started writing AQV I went at it with the view that I wanted to write a book about the worst kind of human being I could imagine, and yet by the end of the book have created a feeling of...of what? A feeling that he was almost forgivable, that you would almost want him to get away, you know? That was the thought back of it at least.
